Join SWACO April 10th At The Beyond Zero Movie Event

SWACO is proud to sponsor the Columbus Region Logistics Council’s screening of Beyond Zero, a groundbreaking documentary that reimagines how capitalism can drive positive environmental change. While many films highlight the challenges of climate change and inequality, Beyond Zero goes further—exploring bold, solution-driven approaches that align profit with people and the planet.
The film chronicles the remarkable journey of Interface, a $1 billion global carpet company, as it transformed from an environmental offender into a sustainability trailblazer. This powerful story has captivated audiences worldwide, earning accolades such as the Audience Choice Award at the Denver Film Festival and Best Documentary at the Boston Film Festival.
Following the screening, engage in an illuminating panel discussion including the film’s director and local sustainability thought leaders. Together, we’ll explore how reimagined capitalism can drive scalable positive change and what it means for businesses, communities, and the future of the planet.

Apartment Managers, Take The Next Step To Sustainability For Your Residents

When choosing where to live, residents have historically based decisions on price, square footage, on-site amenities and a complex’s proximity to businesses and activities. But a recent SWACO poll found that 1-in-4 apartment and condo residents would also like to have on-sight recycling.
SWACO offers free resources and support for properties to implement recycling for their residents. Reach out to schedule your free Recycling Education Kit today.
Don’t have recycling service onsite? No problem! SWACO offers over 50 recycling drop offs that your residents can use for free. Click here to get your free education kit.
Partnering With Local Restaurants To Reduce Food Waste

Did you know nearly one million pounds of food arrives at the Franklin County Sanitary Landfill every day?
SWACO is pleased to announce a new composting pilot program with Budd Dairy Hall, Joya’s, and Kittie’s.
First, Green Scope Consulting conducted waste audits for each restaurant, revealing that up to 75% of discarded materials could be composted or recycled. The restaurants then partnered with a local compost hauler with SWACO covering costs for the first six months, after which the restaurants will take over the hauling costs.
In five months, the restaurants, their staff and customers have embraced the effort by diverting more than 20,000 pounds of organic waste. It’s SWACO’s goal to expand these efforts to new restaurants in the spring with the launch of the first official Food Waste Champions program. Interested in learning more? Email [email protected].
